Despair

This photo series is a powerful and deeply personal exploration of the violence that women have endured at the hands of men throughout history. Through a series of evocative images, the series captures the inner state of despair that women have experienced in the face of oppression and violence.

The series is inspired by the lives of medieval men, who often saw women
as objects to be controlled and dominated. In the images, we see the violence that women were subjected to in the past, when they were deprived of essential rights and forced to endure unimaginable suffering.

Despite the hardships they faced, some women chose to survive by practicing magic rituals or turning to faith. The series portrays these moments of resilience and perseverance, highlighting the strength and determination of women in the face of adversity.

At its core, the “Despair” series is a philosophical exploration of the power dynamics between men and women and the ways in which women have been forced to endure violence and oppression throughout history. Through its use of evocative imagery and symbolism, the series invites viewers to reflect on the ways in which we can work to create a more just and equitable world for all people.
